These inks and watercolors, while originating as landscapes, unfold towards abstraction. They require a period of contemplation to reveal their spatial depth: they don't disclose themselves immediately; they invite discovery. They were created over different sessions. Some are continuations of others, so their anchoring in the figure or reality is found in their predecessors. The included graphics follow this same principle. They are not landscapes in the strict sense, but the spirit that accompanied me in their creation comes from the same source as those landscapes.
